The KA009 is a new Kaito Solar & Dynamo powered radio with Aviation and Weather bands.

An excellent multiband emergency radio, it features a Super Bright LED flashlight.

 Operates on four power sources:

-Dynamo Power: The hand crank generator charges the internal Ni-MH barreries.

-Solar Power: You can play this radio with direct sunlight or use the sun to charge the Ni-MH batteries. With twelve hours in the sun, you get 6-8 hours of playing time.

-Batteries: You can operate the radio using 3 AA batteries (not included). 

-Electric: With the included adaptor, you can play or charge with 110V electricity. Six hours of charging yields 72 hours of playing time.

Weather Band: 162.40--162.55MHz

TV1: Channel 2-6

TV2: Channel 7--13

Air Band (Aviation): 118--137MHz

4 Continuous short wave bands: 4.00--26MHz (covers most of the world stations).

The KA009 is only 6 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 2 1/4"--they'll easily fit in a survival bag.
